The Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents embraces and values diversity in its broadest sense as defined in the KCTCS Personnel Policy Manual and in the Council on Postsecondary Education's statement on access, equity and diversity.

Whereas, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents recognizes the merging of two academic cultures; and

Whereas, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents recognizes its leadership role in promulgating policies for the System; and

Whereas, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents endorses a proactive approach to creating a work and educational environment that is conducive to the academic and social success of all students, faculty, and staff; and

Whereas, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents values and seeks to increase the diversity in the makeup of the student body, faculty and staff;

Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Kentucky Community and Technical College System's commitment to embracing and valuing diversity will be evident by the policies developed and implemented for the System.
