KCTCS vice president elected to national leadership position

LEXINGTON, Ky. (January 20, 2004) – Timothy R. Burcham, CFRE, vice president for advancement for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), has been elected secretary of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) for a second term.
AFP represents more than 26,000 members in 174 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs. The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.
Burcham, a Lexington resident, also serves as executive director of the KCTCS Foundation, which recently announced a multimillion-dollar private fundraising campaign, Fulfilling the Promise, that will enhance economic development and educational opportunities across the Commonwealth.
