Mark Brooks

 

Mark D. Brooks lives in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and currently serves as Public Relations Director for Bowling Green Technical College.  In 2008, Mr. Brooks was honored as Bowling Green Technical College’s Outstanding Staff recipient at the New Horizon’s Conference on Teaching and Learning.  Mr. Brooks has experience in television broadcasting, film, and commercial photography.  He has worked as a professional cinematographer and commercial photographer and has taught in the aforementioned subjects at two and four year colleges.  Mr. Brooks has served in numerous leadership positions, including Chair of the Bowling Green Technical College Staff Senate.  His current leadership roles at the college include service on the college president’s expanded leadership team and chairing Bowling Green Technical College’s Web Services Team, one of the college's Strategic Planning Teams, and the college’s Integrated Marketing Team.  Other service includes membership on the college’s Crisis Communication Team and its Enrollment Management Team, as well as membership on the KCTCS Public Relations Peer Team and the KCTCS Web Services Peer Team.  Mr. Brooks holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Broadcasting and Religious Studies from Western Kentucky University.  In August 2006, Mr. Brooks was elected to the KCTCS Board of Regents to serve as the Occupational/Technical College Staff Regent.  Mr. Brooks' term as staff regent ends in October 2009.
