New Faculty & Staff Orientation

The New Faculty & Staff Orientation is designed to introduce KCTCS faculty and staff to the vision, values, and processes that support the System's overarching mission to become the nation's best comprehensive community and technical college by the year 2020.

PURPOSE/GOAL OF THE PROGRAM

The orientation will introduce a variety of programs and resources that are available to KCTCS organizational members who wish to have a better understanding of the system goals and priorities. Topics include, but are not limited to the following:
1. The Strategic Planning Process

Strategies for Teaching Excellence and Professionalism (STEP)
Awards of Excellence
Presidents Leadership Seminar
The Learning Organization (The Learning College concept)

January - List of F/S to System POD Office
February - Registration Open
April - Registration Closed
May - Faculty/Staff Orientation
November - Notice to Colleges
December - HR Compiles New F/S List

WHO SHOULD APPLY

All faculty and staff with at least one year of employment within KCTCS

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION

Selection determined by employment lists from HR and final approval by the college leadership team.

PARTICIPANT OBLIGATIONS

N/A

Funded by System Office POD non-recurring funds.
